My wonderful husband bought me a Staub 4qt dutch oven for Christmas. I appreciate him so much. I bought myself a Staub brasier because I am working towards minimalism and I wanted a very versatile pan to avoid having to have “many pans”. I am really hoping to end up with a total of 4 pots and pans.
I chose the braiser because you can use it as a skillet, a larger/shallower dutch oven and of course as a braiser. The first meal I cooked in it I figured should be French since Staub is a French brand!
From that gorgeous woman over at Damn Delicious, I got a recipe for a French Chicken casserole. I made it mostly to spec, except I used chicken breasts and added some chopped carrots. It was AMAZZZZINNNG.
So far, I am very impressed with the Staub. Which means “Stove” in French I think! I suppose we will see what else I cook in it!
